Muffins are better than salad.

Well, that's true, although my beet-goat cheese-avocado salad last night was pretty awesome.

I hope everyone stays cool and safe today!

And happy birthday, Frank!

I watched more Unusuals last night, and while I appreciate the dorky guys and they're getting some good writing, I wouldn't mind more focus on Amber Tamblyn's character. She's basically just being a good cop, without much in the way of character development as compared to Jeremy Renner, who's rapidly becoming the moral center of the show. They're not selling him as a freak: owning a diner does not make you a freak.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Muffins are better than salad.

Not always! In fact, I'd choose a salad over a muffin four times out of five.

Happy birthday, Frank! Buy yourself a Bava Blu-Ray!

Oh, and Calibre is like iTunes for ebooks, but better. It's the way I manage my ebook collection, lets you tag and sort in a bunch of ways, and you can import books from Project Gutenberg or fanfiction from FFN or AO3 or wherever, as well. And if you Google carefully, there's a plugin that allows you to convert books purchased from Amazon into different formats and load them on any device you like.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Are her parents Doctor Who fans?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Maybe I'm asking the wrong people.

If I want to move a Java (Tomcat) application from one server to another--do I need to recompile?

This seems like a pretty basic question, but no one here will answer it, and I refuse to take my own research as the answer. I need it vetted by someone in development. But I've been asking this day in and day out, and the developers are just pretending they can't hear me.

I am eating my second breakfast muffin in order to deal with the frustration.

When you say beet-goat cheese-avocado as "beet-goat SPACE cheese-avocado" it sounds really weird. Especially the beet-goat part.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Although, if they could invent a cheese-avocado, I might never eat anything else ever again.

Oh, thank heaven, flea, I was having the same problem "beet-goat? What the hell is a beet-goat?"

re: Calibre, which I love, I just wish I could get the app to import into my Nook with the same groupings instead of having to set up the shelves on the Nook.

Especially the beet-goat part

Well, we did see a lot of goats yesterday; perhaps one of them was a beet-goat.

Although, if they could invent a cheese-avocado, I might never eat anything else ever again.

I have often thought that tortilla chips are of little value except as conveyers of guacamole.
