Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
And I know the previous nurse who wouldn't tell me the footage was being cagey. Are you allowed to keep that info from an adult in charge of medical decisions? Good luck hoping for a placebo effect.
I know you don't have time or effort to fight this battle, but you can request the medical file from the hospital and they have to provide what is in there, except for the social worker and possibly psychologist, but I'm not 100% sure on that. The file requests happen at a 9-5 kind of office. I have their fax to fax the written request -- (310) 825-3356 but I can't remember where they are -- somewhere in the basement, by the pharmacy. They charged us $15.
Thanks, Kat. It's one of those visits where they keep saying "always" and "never", which seems to mean "according to the first two pages of your records". The attending did read it, and now I think we're waiting to hear from my migraine specialist. So sure he'll be replying any time now.
so last week, I was in an apt complex office, and they had a sign over the agent's shoulder that said "perspective tenants."
That sign was bothering me, so after 5 minutes I told the person helping us: "Just fyi, but the sign should say 'prospective', not 'perspective.'" She replied, "oh really, I didn't know about that."
Ugh.
Beau laughed at me and said: "you should have known better than to point out that error. they weren't going to do anything about it."
but I couldn't help myself. the pre- pro- bug BOTHERS me.
Bothers me, too. At least the Beaty Spa around the corner from here fixed their sign... eventually.
Oh dear. I think that sign would make me itch.
If you wait long enough you'll bump into rounds. And the doctor leading round expressed his regret that I'm not getting consistent care, but can't they just write down the dosage somewhere?
Once rounds are over, apparently I'll get the standard.

I have friends up in Dayton who lost power on Friday (June 29) who are being told they won't get power back until July 7. WTF, Dayton Power & LIght?!? (Or whoever the utility provider is.) We're going to be upper 90s all damn week. You have got to be kidding.
I keep feeling like Tim and I totally dodged a bullet.

Yeah, wouldn't it be a great idea if patients had some sort of file, call it a record, maybe, where their medical information was kept? Maybe I should call the hospital and suggest they start a system of these "medical records."
I'm starting to wonder if, in the doctors' lounge at ita's hospital, there's a sign above the door that says "Try not to fuck things up too badly, but don't beat yourself up if you do."
Just got extra dark and windy here.
And then my cat knocked her dish off of the kitchen step stool just to make that loud noise.
