Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Skipping a bunch to post from my dying Blackberry. Count me amongst those with no power since last night and not likely to get it before Monday. Tree fell on power lines across the street and it's still just hanging there. Temps over 100dF and another storm coming in. No Like. We're okay, though. Everyone be safe!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I only went outside as far as the back patio to hang out clothes to dry and then put out sun tea to make. drapes stayed pulled in the rest of the house and air stayed on. I assume it was hot, had no desire to test that.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

(Not that I don't complain about the heat, too.)

brillig

God, Jilli, reading that made me want to weep. And we're not as bad off as other places here in Utah, it's "only" 96 and very low humidity. Though I did get sick from the heat earlier today.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Holy Mother of God! Today we had an argument at 6:00 AM. I cleaned the bathroom, including mopping but haven't done the rest of the house yet. Then I locked us out of the house at 8:15. Noah had to climb in the window to be our hero after I was accused of breaking the screens.

THEN we drove to West LA for the Bureau of Sanitation open house where we played on trash trucks, got an avocado tree and ate sausages. Then K went to Krav and I went to Walmart (ptooie) to get protein powder and other stuff.

Back home to sell our spare twin bed then off to Bevmo for fixings for sangria for my 40th birthday party and to the grocery store. Then I chopped fruit for tomorrow night sangria.

Now I'm baking chicken and mac and cheese.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Mac & cheese does sound yum. But my takeaway from the story of your day, Kat, is: avocado tree! Awesome!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

The is very cool, it's true.

That's a lot, Kat.

It's cooling down a bit outside, which is good for all my poor neighbors. I saw the elderly lady across the street sitting out on her porch, so took over a thermos with water and ice and and order to her and the lady next door (whose name I shockingly don't know!) that if they need anything, to let me know.
