Well, it's just good to know that when the chips are down and things look grim you'll feed off the girl who loves you to save your own ass!

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I totally did the thing you should never do, and went to WebMD! They have pets there, too!

Eek! I shall make sure to stay far away from that. I have enough anxiety about the little guy as it is.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

someone on IO9 is blaming me for the new interface.

You see what happens when you change cite to blockquote?!?!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Like, seriously, bring it all on. Obamacare? That was me. Pro-life protesting? Me. Pro-choice protesting? Me. Kony? Not only do I ship him weapons, I gave the cute white guy "exhaustion". ALL ME.

I'm actually really glad to know that -- I couldn't figure out who to blame!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Nick Denton ain't got shit on me, that's for sure!

Also, I'm picking a fight with tech support because my password keeper's database has disappeared on two platforms. And I'm scared to futz with restoring backups and shit.

Okay, excellent--password backup restored from 28th of June...got everything other than my new AD password.

Which I'm about to panic myself into forgetting...maybe I should lock my desktop right now and find out...

Ha, no. Let me finish Phase 1 of this project plan first.

Librarian Warlord

It was 104 here today, and they are saying same tomorrow with the possibility of violent thunderstorms tonight/tomorrow. If our electricity goes out, I will curse my husband (who is away . . . who is always away during snowstorms, heat waves, basement floodings, etc.).

Someone I took over a journal from emailed me all sorts of stuff she'd forgotten to send me (for weeks - she's been in Paris) which will totally ker-f*ck my work for the next two weeks.

However, my daughter is feeding me fake food made in her own fake kitchen and reminding me that I promised to buy her a robot. So that's all good.

All you people talking 100+ make me feel bad for how much I was sweating earlier, given that it's just in the 80s here...

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

It was "only" 93 or so today (with a heat index of 100+) but man. I didn't know I could sweat as much as I have been. I think I got near heat exhaustion today while we were cleaning up - we can't eat or drink inside the work area (lead paint risks) so it's really hard to stay hydrated. I feel better now.

Still pretty chill here in SoCal below the Valley.

My god--I can't believe I've forgotten the name of the pass into the San Fernando Valley that the 405 goes through. It's been that long since I've driven up there...

Okay, I took a stab at recreating phase I of the project plan from scratch. Now I just need to get the developer to squish down the durations of the tasks, because otherwise we don't finish before September.

God, my boss is mad right now.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I took the kids to the pool for as long as we could stand it and then I let Dylan play Lego Star Wars all afternoon on the Wii. I'm not sure how much longer I can stand to have my laptop on, to be honest. It's making my lap too hot.
