Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

All you people talking 100+ make me feel bad for how much I was sweating earlier, given that it's just in the 80s here...

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

It was "only" 93 or so today (with a heat index of 100+) but man. I didn't know I could sweat as much as I have been. I think I got near heat exhaustion today while we were cleaning up - we can't eat or drink inside the work area (lead paint risks) so it's really hard to stay hydrated. I feel better now.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Still pretty chill here in SoCal below the Valley.

My god--I can't believe I've forgotten the name of the pass into the San Fernando Valley that the 405 goes through. It's been that long since I've driven up there...

Okay, I took a stab at recreating phase I of the project plan from scratch. Now I just need to get the developer to squish down the durations of the tasks, because otherwise we don't finish before September.

God, my boss is mad right now.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I took the kids to the pool for as long as we could stand it and then I let Dylan play Lego Star Wars all afternoon on the Wii. I'm not sure how much longer I can stand to have my laptop on, to be honest. It's making my lap too hot.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Dana, do they give any reasons for the delay? I mean, is he stuck on a runway somewhere, or circling to use up fuel?

Dana - Jun 29, 2012 3:22:51 pm PDT #12140 of 30001
I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

No, it's the outgoing flight, so I'm sure he landed, checked an airplane monitor, and cursed. That's what I do when my flight is delayed.

Have I mentioned that we need to move somewhere with a real live airport?

And he doesn't have a cell phone, so he's got my cell phone, but I bet he won't even think to turn it on, so I can't call him.

I don't know why I just thought of this, but when I was a kid, I would fly by myself to see my grandparents every year. They lived far from the airport (and were nervous), and we lived close to the airport (and were more cavalier), which meant they would sometime leave for the airport before we did! Good times.

Also, I have no real idea why I'm treating him like someone who's never been away from the farm, rather than an actual grown man, but I've been doing it all day.

Librarian Warlord

Dana I'm sorry your husband is stuck in the airport. I used to be jealous of your airport because my BiL's flying lessons out of there were so cheap, and I could never afford them where I was living.
