I'm sorry, dad. You know I would never have tried to save River's life if I had known there was a dinner party at risk.

Unfortunately, most of the girls' swimsuits I like sell out before they get to sale time. I like to buy next year's sizes, but lately the styles left are not ones Casper would go for (she is not a ruffles kinda girl.)

I am actually dying for fall clothes to start coming out. I am ready for summer to be over (we've been out of school 4 weeks already.)

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Franny inherits swimsuits from her cousin so I don't buy them for her often. I bought her one last year and it still fits this summer, so that's her main swimsuit. Isaac also seems to still fit the ones he got last year. I am cheap and lazy, so if the suit still fits they wear it.

Had a good talk with my manager this morning. I'm still kinda frustrated, but he confirmed that I did what I could and need to let it go for now. So I'm trying to do that.

I haven't check on the fires yet this morning. Obama is supposed to be visiting the Waldo County Fire today (the one near Colorado Springs). Yesterday they confirmed that about 350 homes had been destroyed in that fire.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Pfeh, I was all set to go meet my climbing partner at the gym but she has a migraine. So I am doing laundry and paperwork instead. Much less fun.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I had a burger! Surprisingly delicious from the cafe, and cheaper than a meat sandwich.

Huh. I'm pricing flights and hotels for a last minute trip to London right before the Olympics, and... fares are under $1200 and hotels are available? What? This is the opposite of my experience planning a London trip last year!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Yesterday I just went for the nearest sign and ended up with a McDonald's burger. First time in a decade, at least.

Yikes. Why so dry, Donald? Why?

The fries were okay. I do like thick cut or with added flavouring (though usually not both those at once) better. But they were fine. Expected the saltiness.

Today I hope to remember there's half a chicken Romano sandwich of mine in the fridge. I wish I could tell which of the meals downstairs are spicier than my stomach will tolerate. But from reading the ingredients I can't work out a pattern. I can't even pin down which bit is giving me trouble.

And I think I left my Tums at home.
