Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Pfeh, I was all set to go meet my climbing partner at the gym but she has a migraine. So I am doing laundry and paperwork instead. Much less fun.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I had a burger! Surprisingly delicious from the cafe, and cheaper than a meat sandwich.

Huh. I'm pricing flights and hotels for a last minute trip to London right before the Olympics, and... fares are under $1200 and hotels are available? What? This is the opposite of my experience planning a London trip last year!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Yesterday I just went for the nearest sign and ended up with a McDonald's burger. First time in a decade, at least.

Yikes. Why so dry, Donald? Why?

The fries were okay. I do like thick cut or with added flavouring (though usually not both those at once) better. But they were fine. Expected the saltiness.

Today I hope to remember there's half a chicken Romano sandwich of mine in the fridge. I wish I could tell which of the meals downstairs are spicier than my stomach will tolerate. But from reading the ingredients I can't work out a pattern. I can't even pin down which bit is giving me trouble.

And I think I left my Tums at home.

I had a burger too! From the farmer's market that the hospital has every Friday.

French Nouvelle Cuisine!

Is this another way of saying burrito?

Pause for a moment of whining: I am underslept, have a hormonal migraine, and the vibrations from the HVAC system are making my ears ring. I am having to redo work that my coworker who left did, and even then, it doesn't really address the problem we're meant to address. I would like to punch somebody.

If it weren't the Friday before a long weekend, I would go home sick, but I fear my micromanaging new boss would take note of that. t /whine

Art Crawl!!!

I went to the bagel place and was told they saw a funnel cloud when the storm that went through town hit.

No sirens.
