Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Or the 4 months I had to wait for my most recent physical from my GP?

I've often wondered which US these people live in, who can choose any doctor on earth with nobody else deciding which ones are allowed, and never have a wait for anything, and can get any procedure, and don't have any form of bureaucracy involved in the whole process from end to end.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

My husband just got laid off. He flies out to his grandmother's funeral tomorrow.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Pelosi: I did.

Fuck yeah, she did. All her political capital to make that happen. Let that legacy stand.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Dana, that sucks. I'm sorry and hope he finds something better quickly.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Jesus, Dana. That was just a management clusterfuck with cherry on top. It's bad enough to get laid off, but that's totally not how you manage layoffs.

I don't know what "normal" funerals are like, but I do hope he can get something out of being with more of his family for a little while.

I'm so sorry, Dana.
