I have an actual one of those "moving to Canada" people on my Facebook feed. We went to H.S. together.
Ask them if they know what kind of healthcare system Canada has.
You also might point out that if they don't want to live in a country with universal healthcare, there is no major industrialized nation they could live in.
OMG, that is fantastic.
Yeah, I hope most of those people actually look into moving to Canada. I want to see their reactions when they discover how Canada's tax rate compares to the US. Oh, and also when they discover Canada's health care system.

That is priceless! I am amazed that there hasn't been any posts on my feed complaining about the ruling today. I'm sure it's only a matter of time.
Hahaha! She deleted it! TOO LATE, I SAW IT.
if anyone, ANYONE, posts that on my FB feed I will comment, "I am sorry, you are too ignorant to share space with." and then I will unfriend them. dumbass dumbasses who are dumb. jesusita.
Admiral Akbar weighs in on the Supreme Court ruling: [link]
People! When I have your main business database open and I'm editing the paths in it, do not try to engage me in discussion on the health insurance ruling! Or you won't have a company where you have to worry about providing insurance for!
Yes, well, to be fair, she's been talking about moving to Canada for over a year, not because of her politics (which are conservative) but because she loves Toronto, and, I don't know, reasons. Her status was something like, "So now when I move to Canada, I'll have to wait 8 months for a medical procedure, just like people will here." Which is still stupid, but not exactly like saying she's getting out of here because of Obamacare.
I have a handful of Republicans on my Facebook feed. (My remaining biological family, most everyone I left behind on Long Island that I went to elementary/high school with, with some notable exceptions). My policy is: you only get defriended if you come onto my wall and argue with me or stir up shit with my friends (LIKE MY FRIEND'S MOM DID, SIGH. She is so blocked.) or say something truly offensive/racist/homophobic/whatever that I can't let lie. If you let me be, and I let you be, we can coexist. I don't want to defriend my sister-in-law, or my prom date, or the people I shared a lunch table with in high school, even though their political beliefs make me roll my eyes. At least, I don't want to defriend them yet.
Which is part of why I don't like chat for work: the lack of documentation.
We use google apps for work, so it's filed away, which is very helpful.
Congratulations, Americans: The government owns your bodies
As a woman, I'm pretty used to this concept, so whatevs. Also, fuck all y'all.
