I have no lease, so they can do what they want. And I've known for a while that I'm paying well under the market for this place. I've just hoped they didn't notice! But I may be the last person left in an unrenovated place (it's a small building), so that's it. Of course 9/1 is the big moving date here, and I'd really like to avoid it, but may not be able to, so I'd get the joy of paying the higher rent for a month AND moving on the clusterfuck day of all clusterfucks.

We got so spoiled when we lived in Yardley -- the guy who owned our house lived in North Carolina, and he couldn't be bothered to do anything to the house, so he never raised our rent the whole eight-plus years we lived there.
Excellent news about your mom, Cash!

When people pinch me, I give them cake. You're the only pincher, so you get all the cake, Amy.

I think I'm supposed to be in the Pacific Northwest.
Yes, yes! Yes, you are!
We can find Jesse something that's not $300/mo more than she's paying now, too!
Come to PNW! All the peeps are doing it. Well, them that's not moving to NOLA.
We can find Jesse something that's not $300/mo more than she's paying now, too!
The commute would be rough, though!
Beverly? *tackle hugs*
I can't take the summers here anymore either. I think I'm supposed to be in the Pacific Northwest.
Oh, goodness, me too. Every time I'm there, I feel like I should stay. But I can't leave my sister! Which is something that, 15 years ago, I couldn't imagine myself ever saying. I guess it's a good thing, that we're close again. Dammit.
It was white, square, and it looked like a tooth.

It is so frightening how few homes we have seen suit our purposes. This feels like extreme goldilocks: too dirty, too big, too small, neighborhood is sketchy, too far away from work, getting stood up by realtors. We have two possibilities right now (neither of which is ideal) and we are resting our hopes on a secret property that only the realtor knows about that we will see
That was me a month ago. Now I'm just swamped with boxes and trying to sell two different beds and a corner shelf unit and working. Blargh. Work.
