Happy, happy birthday, darling JZ.
It feels like half of Colorado is on fire. We no longer have regular news, it is all fire reporting. The pictures are scary as all heck. None of them are near where I live, yet we can smell the smoke in the air.
Stephanie - if you need a place to go, you are welcome here. I know I don't have a ton of room, but it is an option.
41 "Regrettably" Tacky Photos Of Famous People. Some of them live up to the title, others I totally have Jensen Ackles pictures they could be replaced by.
Not particularly safe for work--I think I might have seen J-Lo's nipple in there, but I wasn't dwelling on it.
Work seems to have changed their password rules. My new password definitely conformed, but it was in a sequence from the existing one. I had to go for a totally new stem, which means I'm going to lock myself out multiple times a day.
Oh and I'm in Starbucks right now working and people are telling anti-semitic jokes. WTF. People, you are all lucky I'm not armed in here.
Ginger, I would totes ask the buffista contingent for google help on rentals if I thought it could help. I have reached the bottom of the barrel. Just not enough inventory for what we want. We have 2 backup plans if this place today doesn't come through and one plan involves a storage unit and daily drives past strip clubs.
I guess I won't have my parents visit until 2014.
Ginger,
I couldn't ask you for editing help. The paper will be 80 pages. No one outside of my field wants to read that and I'm not sure that many people inside my field do either!
And check out this very nice frock coat type sweater.
Damn, that is an enormous academic paper! I send you moral support, anyway, Le Nub. I know you are very private, but if you are moving within striking distance of Cincinnati, feel free to email me.
or if you are coming to the DC area, let me know, le n . . .
It is lunchtime and I am not hungry. Save yourselves!
The Frock Coat I linked to upthread comes from this charming blog - which is kind of an epistolary novel.
