This does sound like a stupid question, but bear with me: are you stupid?

I mean, basically--I like movies with people I'm dumber than, and I don't feel dumb. So...I like movies about smart people, assuming I'm average.

I made such an ass of myself in staff meeting -- yikes. I mean in the sense of not actually remembering what my job entails. I was tired and hungry, both the result of waking up stupid early this morning (so having breakfast early). Ah well.

I always like to read about/watch smart characters.

I like movies about dumb people where I can root for nasty things to happen to them. "Eat the idiot blonde! She's right there! Eat her!"

Regarding last night, for the record, I don't care if she was hooking up or not. I was just in that mom worry zone. Shoot, at her age, I was married and had an infant.

Fiction question--if you had to pick one over the other, would you prefer a story about people dumber than you, or about people you're dumber than?

I'd rather the story be about people smarter than me.

I made an ass of myself in the meeting this morning too, but I'm not apologising for that. If I have to say "What information do you need to do the work on your plate today? Okay, now ask him for it." it's their fault, not mine.

I'm interested in competence: if a person less smart than me displays competence, I'm quite happy with that.
