Actually, I was thinking it would be sort of like a pet. You know, we could...we could name her Trixie, or Miss Kitty Fantastico, or something.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I think Jesse gets the job.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I remember the first Rover thing happened around a party I had at my old apartment, and Lori pretty much blew me off for my TV.

However, since she had put together the TV stand, more than completely her prerogative.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

A local garden center was having a "Shades of Gay" event today that was rained out. The post on Facebook says, "Apparently drag queens bring rain. I suggest you all get one for your own gardens asap!"

I have an eight am pain management appointment and a seven thirty meeting I can't miss. Crap. I never updated my personal calendar. So dumb.

brillig

The usual Utah summer activity is upon us--the hills are burning. 4000 acres across the lake, ie, 20 miles away, are blazing nicely. The wind has shifted and is bringing the smoke over my house. My lungs hate me for not living in a damper climate.

There have been 400 fires so far in Utah this year. 20 in the last month or so that have been started by target shooters in the scrubland across the lake. But that darned gubmint ain't gonna tell us where we can and cannot exercise our God-given 2nd Amendment rights.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Maybe Corey Booker should quit as Mayor and become a full time superhero since he seems to be a lot better at the latter than former.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

They have a computer generated video showing what is supposed to happen, and it is AWESOME. My husband goes into cackles of geekiness.

I cackled with geeky glee and clapped my hands and jumped around the den after watching that video. No, really. I explained to Leo the Cat that it has to go exactly right the very first time and there's no way to test it first and it's just awesome and MAD, and even he seemed impressed.

You know, I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Elementary was going to suck because a Holmes adaptation with an American lead is doomed to fail. I can't remember where I read that now.

Probably the internet.

Anyway, I just saw my first trailer, and I did a bouncy thing. I can't wait to find out if I like it.

I'm sure Mars is cool too.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

House doesn't count because Hugh Laurie isn't actually American?

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Neither does Elementary, considering JLM isn't, either.

I did hear that, too, ita. On Tumblr. I made the same eyeroll I did the first time I heard someone say Gary Oldman did a really good English accent.
