A Simpsons Halloween episode. Lisa did a science project of putting a tooth in a bowl of soda to show how it decays the tooth. Bart came in and scuffed his feet on the carpet to shock her with static electricity, and then he shocks the tooth. The next day Lisa sees that mold has grown on the tooth, and when she puts it under the microscope, she sees it's actually a tiny little community of cavemen. After lunch she looks in the microscope again, and they've evolved to a society with houses, etc., and the tooth has been turned into a church. Then she sees one of the little dudes nailing something to the door of the church, and she says "Oh my gosh -- I've made Lutherans!"
So mold = Lutherans.
