Thrive to spite them

I vaguely remember having fun diagramming sentences in middle school but I can't remember how to do it now.

Grammar turned into formulas, of course I loved it. (Now, it didn't really help me with english grammar. I read so much my writing was intuitive. I don't think I really got a firm grasp on parts of speech until I started learning foreign languages.)

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Holy shit, smonster. I would cast blame on New Orleans. Tell 'em to get a lawyer, because... hell to the no.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Daisy should be getting close to having her baby girl.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

smonster,

do they have title insurance? that's the kind of thing title insurance is supposed to help deal with.

There should not have been a closing on the house if there was an outstanding mortgage. The title company could be (should be) sued.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

They can't figure out how the existing loan didn't come to light when they bought the house originally.

Just no. If a title search wasn't done to obtain a clear title when the loan originated, it's the title company's fault, not your friend's. Lawyer up!

So tomorrow afternoon my department is supposed to play kickball. I've elected not to play considering that it's going to be HOT tomorrow and I have a history of heat stroke. I'm already feeling not so great because it's been super hot for days, and I really don't want to be the one who passes out.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

There's a 90+ degree heat wave headed for the Southeast. I'm going to the grocery in the early morning to stock up and I swear I'm not leaving the house except to feed the porch cat until it's over. Hunkering down like for a blizzard. I can't maintain in high heat.

I'm preemptively refrigerating my house. AC in the bedroom on energy-save at 69 took the moisture out of the already cool house (from the wonderful weather this weekend) today. I'm cranking it to full tonight and burrowing under the covers. I have 2 other ACs I can deploy, but the last hot week, the single one on this mode actually kept the house comfortable. Bedroom frigid, but I don't mind that. If I can get through the summer on one AC..well, I'll know I can do it.
