And don't you ever stand for that sort of thing. Someone ever tries to kill you, you try to kill 'em right back! ... You got the right same as anyone to live and try to kill people.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

There's a 90+ degree heat wave headed for the Southeast. I'm going to the grocery in the early morning to stock up and I swear I'm not leaving the house except to feed the porch cat until it's over. Hunkering down like for a blizzard. I can't maintain in high heat.

I'm preemptively refrigerating my house. AC in the bedroom on energy-save at 69 took the moisture out of the already cool house (from the wonderful weather this weekend) today. I'm cranking it to full tonight and burrowing under the covers. I have 2 other ACs I can deploy, but the last hot week, the single one on this mode actually kept the house comfortable. Bedroom frigid, but I don't mind that. If I can get through the summer on one AC..well, I'll know I can do it.

I don't remember diagramming sentences. Possibly, like most things of a grammatically technical nature, I may have blocked it from my memory.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I adored diagramming sentences when I learned it in 4th grade.

I have always been at least a bit odd.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Pretty, pretty lights. [link]

I hated diagramming sentences. It didn't make a bit of sense until I started taking Latin.

I always thought diagramming sentences was pointless. How did taking Latin change your mind?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I am no good at diagraming sentences, but I'd love to learn how to do it correctly.

I couldn't diagram a sentence to save my life.

Also, what everyone else said about title insurance. Supposed to cover crazy shit like that. Also, how the eff does someone refinance a mortgage on a house they don't own?? I thought the whole point of industry reform and bailouts and shit was to stop nonsense like that!

It just didn't make sense until I was learning another language. Other languages are more consistent, so it made more sense. After that I understood what they had been talking about with the diagramming.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

I don't think I got sentence diagramming until about 9th grade. I was just glad to finally know what the heck the diagram that Laura Ingalls did for her teaching credential test was all about.
