brillig

I had to take over the household finances in self-defense. Hubby thinks if he mutters "They charge too much" often enough, the universe will give us a refund. Still waiting on that.

Now tagless for your comfort.

It's partly my own fault. I do not have combined billing on my AT&T wireless and land line phones. DH left for Las Vegas for work today and from what I can tell, he paid one bill but didn't pay the land line for the past two months. I can tell this because my land line phone doesn't work.

Which wouldn't bother me too much except for the fact that I get no cell reception in the house--which is why we keep a land line in the first place.

I paid what they said we owed to get it turned back on and I will sort it out tomorrow.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm watching Last Holiday with Queen Latifah, LL Cool J, and an awful wig/weave. I love Latifah's I am not pretty yet eyebrows. They are way better than Sandra Bullock's.

eta: And the nut shot guy has managed to get some of his posts marked as trolling, although he hasn't gotten himself banned proper...yet.

Just kidding! That would be sad if it happened.

Sniff...

A guy *I* lectured about mansplaining is calling another guy out on the same thing. I'm misting up here, man. Choked with the feels. He's totally telling the new mansplainer he's lucky he got there before I did. He's not ready to be let out unsupervised onto the internet, but at least he can see what drives me buttfuck nuts before I get there.

At which point he basically calls me a bully, but hey!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Awww, that is almost sweet. Or deserving of a nut shot. Whatever.

And applied sunscreen often and apparently poorly because I have the weirdest sunburn streaks and patterns ever. I marinated in it before leaving the house, then put it on religiously and now the backs of my knees are burnt, as are a patch on my knee but not a patch on my shoulder and then there is where the bra straps sucked up the screen but moved and AHRG. I'm comical.

I was annoyed when my sister yelled at me (I was taking a lovely happy birthday call) earlier to go sunscreen but I have to admit, she prob saved me. I was standing in the sun for more than five minutes, my daily regime was not going to suffice. I was gross and icky feeling for the rest of the day but I am still pale and not ouchy. I stash sunscreen at places like squirrels stash nuts.

Yes, Cass, absolutely. And happy birthday!

I need to email you tomorrow, Liese. I will make myself a note. Or poke at me. The Niecelet wanting a telescope and figuring out celestial shit is cool, I want to encourage this.

Absolutely encourage it! Yay science in young minds. I am by no means an expert, but I am an enthusiastic amateur and am happy to share whatever I know.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Aargh! I am no longer itchy (but still red). I do not know if I should go to the DR. I have seen steady improvement since I stopped using any creams or powders, and started taking Allegra.

That's no fun, Sophia. I think it'd have to be up to your discomfort level about the doctor. It sounds like you're on the right path with your own treatment, so for myself I would probably stick with that and see how it goes, but I could see going in, too.

I HATE the doctor. I feel like they never help with weird things like this and that sometimes their guess is as good as mine about what is going on! I also realize this may be irrational.

But I (so far today) no longer feel like ripping my clothes of and scratching until I have no skin left!

Also, there are no nurses here today to look at me! My next door office neighbor is the author of Lippincott's drug guide for nurses. I am sure she could help me figure out if that is really what it is! It is very annoying!
