I don't give a good gorram about relevant, Wash. Or objective. And I ain't so afraid of losing something that I ain't gonna try to have it. You and I would make one beautiful baby. And I want to meet that child one day. Period.

Picture on fb: [link] and flickr (locked down so mom doesn't see it): [link] Sorry I can't make it more public! It's silver, the lighting is weird.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Ooooh! That's pretty. I like how it is not just a blossom, but has more to it. Very pretty.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

sarameg, that's just gorgeous!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Beautiful!

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I'm trying to decide if I should add a facial hair section to provocateuse.

What would I call it?

scruff.provocateuse.com?

I think "no nut shots" is a good guideline for friendly roughousing and boxing matches, but once somebody is really attacking you anything's game.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That's lovely, Sara!

Her facebook page is [link] I really love the variety of designs. My neighbor has a ton of stuff from her, a lot of it made especially with her in mind. Stephney is a total sweetheart. She was going to let me walk away with it with a promise of a check (I forgot my card and didn't have enough cash) but my other neighbor put it on her card and I paid her back tonight. She's selling them for $60, but wouldn't let me pay that much since I was the impetus for the piece.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That is a really pretty piece, sara. Do you know what about your suggestions is new for her?

I was poking around the website that had the Star Trek engagement ring, and that pin reminds me of some of their other rings. Let's see if my tumblr is tagged usefully....aha. See? Hers are water lilies, but at that size I don't think any florists are getting their knickers in a twist.

It's for the best that I don't offhand (erm) know any of my ring sizes, because the simplicity of these stacking rings really appeals to me.

In general, I need to stop looking at jewellery. Except, say, if it was for my mother, for whom I'm pretty sure we've bought nothing. I will take a moment after posting this to at least find a card for my father.

Watching the last Harry Potter movie out of the corner of my eye. A couple movies back I stopped paying so much attention to the movies (although I'd read all the books), so I don't remember everything that's going on, or who many of these people are. Still, Rather bleak battle scenes there--I have to remind myself that a large portion of the fans aged with the characters, and aren't the 12 year olds I usually visualise them as. Erm, not that there aren't new 12 year olds.

It's kind of relieving to not be all emotional about something clearly sad. I teared up watching Young Justice this morning, and it was a fucking repeat.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Sorry I can't make it more public!

Dogwood in 3D, but also a pin. She mentioned she had been invited to a garden show as a vendor, and so was thinking about some 3D florals, mainly cherry blossoms (a lot of her earlier work is silver cutouts with glass, also in botanicals, but 2d.) I got all excited and asked about dogwoods. She told me she'd see what she could do. So then she fashioned the blossom, but first attempt as earrings (which mom doesn't wear and S knew this, she just wanted to see if I liked the style first, and then they sold out!) Then it was her figuring out how to mount it, how to make the branch, etc. Apparently, the mounting and adding the pin to sit right gave her fits. But the whole process and research has made her want to expand doing the 3D botanicals, because they sell and because it challenged her to learn new things and spend a lot of time in gardens studying.
