Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Once again I am trying to type around Nova.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Allyson, I love the way she is so into that costume!

After a fairly shitastic evening last night, I am ready for a derby scrimmage against a Michigan team heading into town today.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I am in Clintonville, WI--I just left my parents' place. My dad fell and hurt his back a week ago--he's OK but in a lot of pain. But he was in good spirits yesterday and today, and he says the pain is lessening.

My younger brother and his two youngest kids were also here. That was fun.

How do you win at Go Fish? Is it when you get rid of all your cards? Or at the end, when you have the most sets? (I've always thought it was the latter.) Also, anyone heard of a version of Go Fish where you draw two cards from the pile each time?

At least I managed to convince the kids we didn't have time for a game of War.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Man, I used to love War.

Cash, I hope derby helps eradicate the shitastic!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Derby helps with everything, right?

Aww, SO just left for his weeklong recording trip. I am going to be VERY TALKY I'll just warn y'all now. I could have gone (and might still want to sneak out to go to the show with him in ABQ on his last day). But this will be easier on me and the dog, and I'll have the whole week to get house and office stuff done. But I'll need you to help keep me on track, or I'll fritter it all away. But not today! Today's Sunday! Maybe we'll hit the park later and see if there are any ducks.

(edited to fix unclosed parenthesis, ack!)

brillig

Work has slowed down to the point where I can watch TV in between chats. And I keep wondering why I put off watching my X-Files disks. I so adore Mulder and Scully, and just hearing the theme makes me happy.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'll need you to help keep me on track, or I'll fritter it all away.

Next Onerous Task Day: Wednesday, October 12th.

Do it for Liese!
