Scrappy, can you get him to email me at my profile address? My short list is really short. It could do with some expansion. Thank you so much.
If nothing else, I can be the person that tells my sister to go to sleep. She was making no sense last night.
ita, ND is sleeping in this morning, but he will respond once he’s up. He gets very excited about car shopping, even when he’s not the one doing the shopping. If Scrappy’s DH has other specific suggestion, ND can add them to the hunting list.
Huh. I had to look it up.
I always thought it referred to occupational therapy in mental wards--making baskets.
Don't think I'll be using it again, either. Although, when H bought his '42 Knucklehead Harley as a basket case, we literally brought home parts in boxes. Until he sold it, years later, still in boxes. And bought a boat. Which we used and enjoyed for years. Um.
No, still not using the term.
Support is often the hardest job, because you feel like you're not *doing* anything. You're not *fixing* anything. The truth is, you are affecting how others deal, you are *doing something*. A further truth is that it costs you something to be supportive when what you want to do is go fetal and have someone take care of you.
This place and you people were my salvation. I just hope each of us finds that sort of support here when it's needed.
Beverly is, as always, so very wise.
Marketed, shopped and just spent the past 2.5 hours doing yardwork. At least is is gorgeous out and now I'm all prepared for spending the rest of the fall raking leaves....
Think I'll go swim. And then start cleaning house. Uhg.
MUST call my dad today! It's his 70th. (We'll be actually celebrating it when he is out here in a couple weeks.)
I'm not doing shit! This is the curse of the three-day weekend: I feel like I have So Much Time! I should at least vacuum, maybe do some laundry.
I took Sudafed and I think I got stood up for lunch. I breathe better now but still feel like hell, so I don't much care that I am likely being stood up.
Uggg. I'm not moving from the couch unless absolutely necessary. Damned cramps.
Though I did go out earlier to pickup a Halloween costume for the youngest dojo baby. Old Navy has adorable costumes on sale and her mama asked if we could pick it up for her. I can't wait to see her dressed up as a strawberry.
I need a cabana boy to bring me chocolate.
