In theory, yes. In practice, I've had a bunch of them, thanks to my epilepsy, and this doesn't feel AS bad as many I've had. (I realize that sounds kinda ridic, but.) Also, we are seriously in the middle of nowhere up here. It's the worst possible place at the worst possible time.
NATURALLY.
I mean, I could have hit my head alone, in the desert, but this is pretty damn inconvenient. And if I have a seizure or start vomiting or feel out of it or anything, we'll totally go.
I guess I have learned from my grandmother's (BAD) example, but.... what could they do for you at a hospital at this point? If nothing substantial, I wouldn't go.
Promise? Pinky swear? Even a twitch and you find a doctor (or get someone to find one for you)? And you'll check in here again tomorrow? Please?
I had a whole Hugh Laurie post ready to go, but he seems mighty trivial compared to middle-of-nowhere head injuries.
True, you do have a track record, and I am not a doctor, and you are not alone. Either way, I hope it feels better soon and gives you no more trouble.
Pinky swear. My friends are taking very good care of me, including Calli, so I'm in Buffista hands.
Jesse, IME, they would do a C-T scan, and send me home. I don't think I need a scan, especially since, at least so far, this wouldn't even rate in my top five worst head injuries.
Amyth, you know you, and you know your head. And you're not alone.
I'm good for about a week on the car issue, so that's some breathing room. I just can't foresee having a clear head in that time. Ack. I mean, I need to get the cheque from Geico, clear the car out, find a mechanic, find a car, ack ack ack panic ack.
I talked in my sleep last night. It was really weird, because I could feel myself in this liminal space, and I could tell that I was actually sounding out the words in my dreams. Initially I was reluctant to voice them, but then I just gave in and talked. Strangest lucid dreams I've ever had.

Yeah, then I vote no. Stick with your friends and watch out, but really.
Take care of yourself, Amyth.

I am verklempt.
We've set up Amyth in a downstairs bedroom and have a checking schedule for the rest of the night set up. We discussed going to a clinic (or the French version), and it's still an option if needed. But the swelling has gone down significantly and it didn't bleed much, for a head wound. It still looks like it hurts like hell, though.
