Mal: So we run. Nandi: I understand, Captain Reynolds. You have your people to think of, same as me. And this ain't your fight. Mal: Don't believe you do understand, Nandi. I said 'we run'. We.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I see no reason to accept the request of a construction site auditor in Britain.

Whereas for me that would actually make some sense.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

the last 24 hours have been the suck. mac got horrible last night and my arms and face are bruised (nothing bad enough to be visible, but I feel it). His back is sore too from me restraining him. Then I just got WRITTEN UP AT WORK!! for internet use. So none, zero, zilch, personal use ( I am at my parent's now). Not when I am clocked out at lunch, not before I clock in in the morning. Thing is? I have been removing my history pretty fanatically, so what they saw was nothing close to the reality. I am sure had they seen that I would have been fired.

It is so bothersome to me, because they tell me to take 5 minute breaks, but they will not accept checking my email or looking at amazon as a work break. FTR, I do not want to go take a 5 min walk in the middle of my work day. I don't want to go outside much at all, really.

Anyway, that is my new reality, and I have no data plan on my phone, so I will be around here a ton less often. Which, you know, y'all are my main outlet and therefore I am not feeling great about it.

ooops, my 30 minute lunch is up, gotta drive back to the office and get clocked in.

ANGRY. I will get over.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Sending vibes to ita, her mom, and the rest of her family.

Sending hugs to msbelle, that is a double whammy of suckitude.

I got 4 hours of sleep last night. Will need to crash at some point. With luck, I'll be near a bed when it happens.

Apparently, one of the all time great pigments used to be ground up mummies.

If you read Stiff, you'll learn that turning mummies into paint was one of the more benign uses. ::shudder::

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Oh msbelle. You likely won't see this until later but that sucks. Both mac having a rough night and the work write up. You know we are here whenever you need us. You are welcome to text me if you need an outlet during work.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Ugh, msbelle, I'm so sorry. That sucks on all fronts. I hate that had a rough night with mac, and that you're losing (partially) your outlet here.

Lots of ~ma headed your way and towards your mom, ita.

OMG, that sloth story! ::sniff:: I wish I could catch AC on the British cable we have at the house in France, but no dice. But lots of easy chair commercials on ITV.

Hivemind question--what are alternate terms for "human resources" other than employee relations?

Awwww: Rescued cat leads RSPCA worker to her kittens! Be sure to click through the slideshow--the kittens are too cute.

That's a great story, but "thrown from a car"? WTF is wrong with people? Thankfully it had a happy ending.
