Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think the women in question aren't supposed to be pushing vans out of ten inch deep ruts of snow and slogging instruments through mud.

These are most def LA winter type boots. I'm kinda annoyed that they have the trim, since they look wintery, but since I already wear velvet in the summer, I think I've already done way worse than white past Labour Day.

And, damn, if they aren't the Aerosoles brand of comfortable heels. I almost got these in grey, but they look weird with pants, like socks with heels, and I really didn't want them in black since seven million black shoes, and the other two patterns are not going to happen on my feet anytime soon. But, again, they were mad comfy for the height.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Thanks for the birthday wishes, everyone.

Staying in this weekend hasn't done much for this cough. I'm still going into coughing fits at least once an hour.

Has anyone had an issue with titles disappearing from Netflix queue on the Wii, but not on other devices or on the Netflix site? any ideas?

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Happy birthday, Hil! Sorry you're still sick for it.

We need to get it swept and something involving...points?

You need to get the brick repointed? Like, the mortar is cracking?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm really sad there are no Aerosoles stores here. I don't find their stuff reliable enough to buy without trying on, and I don't want to pay to ship them back.

Punishingly Intricate

Bison potroast was delicious! Made this recipe basically:

[link]

Except I didn't have so many root veggies and I didn't have any shallots. So I used just carrot and sweet potato. Still pretty good I have to say.

And I made some chocolate walnut meringue-y type cookies. Also tasty!

I have a pair of Aerosole hand-me-down boots that I love. But I tried to buy some boots off their website a couple of years back and it was a disaster of non-availability ill communicated which kind of broke my heart a little and I haven't trusted them since. I can carry a mean retail grudge I guess.

Yikes, I need to get to work on my cookie experimentation...

I need to get some new boots. And winter clothes. I've shrunk a bit again. Not a lot, but enough that after a summer of wearing new skirts and dresses, I've discovered my pants, even the slightly tight ones, and sweaters are being too baggy. Thing is, the weight hasn't dropped that much. Just turned to muscle, I guess.

Not that I have much budget for it. Ehn.

Also, Sox, my dad says anytime.

Over the past week, I lost some weight, unsurprisingly. Where did I notice it? My portacath. You can totally trace the line all the way up from the plug bit on my chest to where it goes deep at my neck.

"Does my portacath look fat to you, honey?"

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Uh-oh. Streams are crossing. Monica wanted to see Hec's "I think you owe Geek2Geek an endorsement." post, so she's, um, lurking.
