Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

"Florida State Rep. Wants To End State Ban On ‘Dwarf-Tossing’ To Increase Employment Opportunities For Little People"

What the...? How is that not an Onion article?

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I have to remember to introduce him to Jake von Slatt at the con.

I am totally not surprised you know him. His projects are seriously cool.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Yeah, car's officially totalled. Worth $5K, with $7K in repairs.

Does anyone ever just take the check and spend the difference out of pocket to fix the car?

I don't want a monthly fucking car payment. My monthly car payment is spent on pain management, for fuck's sake.

I had a 2000 VW Jetta VR6. What's the equivalent of that on the road right now?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think my parents did, when I totalled my mom's car in high school -- it was way cheaper to fix than to get a new car.

Because books.

I would do that, ita. Absolutely.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

You might want to check with your insurance company before you plan on doing that. The way that Progressive handled my totalled car last month was to tow it to their salvage lot where they did the appraisal, then let me know it was totalled, whereupon they gave me a check that purchased it from me, so I never saw the car again after it was towed from the accident site.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

ita, unfortunately it's either the check or the car. They will not let you keep the car if you plan on taking the money.

If you need any help with this, please let me know. I'll look into specs and see if I can't find you what the comparable vehicle is currently.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Oh, man, what a huge relief, smonster! Away from the slumlord and away from the lack of privacy/prickly roommate situation both! And with a good baguette to look forward to, too.

But goddamnit, ita ! I was hoping for better car news -- surely there's got to be some Buffista somewhere due for *good* car news for a change.

And continuing vibes to your DH and to you, Maria. In all the utter shittness of it, Hopkins is about the best possible place you could be. I just still so wish you didn't have to.

Looking out my window, I've got sunlight and steady drizzling rain at once, and if I listen just right I can hear the Blue Angels. It's all rather disconcerting.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I have no problem with legalizing dwarf tossing. Doesn't seem super different from stripping. Or pro wrestling. Or porn. What am I missing?
