Ugh, I find all of the child molestation and cover-up stuff so hard to process. A colleague's son was molested when he was about that age. I was by someone in a similar position of power over him. It has been so hard for him to come to terms with it, to even begin to talk about it with his family. I can't read about these boys without thinking of him.
Isaac's school is having a school night dinner at Shakey's Pizza. I loathe Shakey's. I loathe school nights. I am stuck going to dinner anyway. phooey. Meanwhile Franny is angling for a sleepover tonight. Darn those healthy social lives!

SFGate is reporting it was near Occupy Oakland, but Occupiers are saying it was random neighborhood violence, not anything to do with them.

Cass, thanks for those words. I really appreciate the support here. Trying to keep the kids out of the middle leaves me little room to vent.
In just what I needed news, I stopped by our local frozen yogurt place to treat myself. Got nummy pumpkin yogurt with mochi and graham cracker crumbs. My favorite. If you can guess the weight of your yogurt, you get it for half off. I guessed and was on the nose. And my loyalty card paid off, so I only owed $0.24. It was super delicious.
