And Kaylee, what the hell's goin' on in the engine room? Were there monkeys? Some terrifying space monkeys maybe got loose?

Because books.

Is the call for his retirement based on him knowing what this other coach did? (I haven't really been following the story.)

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Yeah. He knew back in 2002. He followed his legal obligation to report it to his supervisors, but when his supervisors did nothing (for which they're being charged, because they had a legal responsibility to notify the police), Paterno didn't do anything either or follow up on it, even though he knew that the other coach was still working with kids.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Had another crappy night's sleep. Am surprised I'm not sleepy.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Now, there are about 200 students in front of Paterno's house, rallying to show their support for him and protect him from the media.

Okay, that's revolting. I'm sorry: he was told directly in 2002 that his employee was found raping a ten-year-old boy in the locker room. And he did nothing.

I just looked up where Paterno's house is. I've ridden my bike past there a ton of times without realizing it was his house.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I'm sorry: he was told directly in 2002 that his employee...

That is absolutely horrifying. What happened, and that no one did anything.

The alma mater includes the line "May no act of ours bring shame." I've been hearing people quoting that all day as a way of saying that Paterno should resign because he didn't live up to that ideal. But the students in front of his house are singing it now. I have no idea what they're trying to say with it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

"PENN STATE FUCK YEAH" maybe?

I am so sad about Heavy D! Damn.

And a big gold star for Amy! (You just have to imagine it.)
