Oh, Matt, I'm sorry to hear that, but I'm glad you're getting care. Be good to yourself.
And in different news:
Guess who has two thumbs and a letter from the evil bank of evil that says we never authorized the loan application and that this shouldn't have happened
Can someone explain to me the origin of this whole "two thumbs" thing? I feel like I missed a meme.

I think I first heard it on
The Office,
but, like "That's what she said," I'm sure it existed before then.
I watched "Lars and the Real Girl" this summer.
I could not finish that movie. I felt so badly for Ryan Gosling's character - he was so down in the dumps and perhaps delusional, that I didn't think it was at all funny or entertaining.
20 minutes and I was out.
Matt,
best wishes. I have been missing you on the boards. I'm glad you checked in.

Me, too. My reaction is always to look at my hands and then think, "Is having thumbs noteworthy?"
Awwww, Matt, I'm sorry you're going through such a rough stretch. Wishing you a calm, good, healing space and some useful perspective. Be well.

I think you need the visual where the person is waggling their two thumbs at themself.

I don't know the origins, but online you lose the gesture component to it so I'm sure it's even more opaque.
