I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I have successfully deposited a check by taking a picture of it with my phone. Living in the future.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I want to do that! Bank of America, will you let me do that? You got fancy with your ATMs, but I don't think you let me do this. I don't want to go to you. Pfft.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Brenda! You rock it, woman! Hookers and blow!

Living in the future.

Flying cars! But yeah. So today I was running around like a mad weasel trying to get stuff done, and I was thinking about austerity measures for our company, one of which could be moving our post office from the one four (tiny) towns away which was convenient when we lived there to the tiniest one in our actual neighborhood. It would be helpful in that we would not have to go into town to pick up checks the day before we go into town to make our deposit. BUT! If we also had a bank that let us take photos, we could just pick up our donations and make the deposit, like, immediately. Without any significant gas expenditure at all. All the more reason to get out of BoA.

Anyway. I got my project accomplished. Although I think I still need to go to town now. I had a nice sit-down lunch to make it up to myself for the morning's frustrations, and the waitress asked me did I have everything I needed in the house for the incoming storm. And I said yes, all I needed to do was haul some firewood. But then I realized, no, actually, I'm short milk, butter, and eggs like always. Where is my butter and egg man? So yeah, I should probably do that, and maybe pick up some salt for the driveway.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I was pretty excited when Citi finally just got rid of the deposit envelopes.

I did some actual work! Even though I feel like I'm on a boat right now -- the fairly bad vertigo I got years ago always comes back a little when I'm so tired/dehydrated/traveled out. But I really have to figure out how to honestly charge these days I've been supposedly working from home, but not doing much work. BUT can I get credit for being on the redeye last night, and not on the plane all day today? Hmmm.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Brenda, that's great! Congratulations!

Now tagless for your comfort.

I have a Paypal application that lets me take a picture and deposit checks straight to Paypal (no fee).

That's what I did, Paypal. My bank is not that advanced.

This project is slamming along nicely. I really feel like I'm contributing a lot to its eventual success, even if sometimes it's just getting the right people into conversation with each other. I haven't noticed any major balls I've dropped, and I've been enjoying working with most of the people on it. And the executive sponsor has apparently been saying nice things about me.

Such a change from the project from hell, which continues, but there's nothing for me to do on that, and I still don't know which end is up on that one yet.

Yet, I'm completely exhausted, and just realised I made movie plans on Supernatural night. I'm such a hypocrite. Sorry, Amy.

Because books.

Sorry, Amy.

Tsk tsk.
