Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I want a brownie cupcake

I have one at work and one at home! I actually had the low fat high fiber muffin for breakfast. And now I'm watching the FMLA presentation. I hope this can all go over my head.

Yes-Man is in the office today. He gave four days notice, and he gave it to the head of his contracting office, not to the people he's doing contract work for, or, like me, who he's working on a project for. He's not rolling in respect right now.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Boo to Yes-Man.

Hmmm. Now I am thinking I must make brownies tonight. I have all the ingredients.

OK, brownies MAYBE if I get all my work done. Time to get cracking -- coffee is consumed, and chocolate (and, ya know, completion) is my goal!

Because books.

Now I want a brownie. Oooh, or gingerbread! Oh yeah, gingerbread. I wonder if I have what I need.

Like I have any time to bake today, but it's all I really want to do. In my glow-in-the-dark skeleton apron.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

That reminds me I need to make some banana bread today.

If I wanted to tart up the banana bread with some complementary flavor, what should I use?

Dried cranberries? Salted almonds or pecans?

Banana liqueur. It amps up the banananess in a really awesome way. Only downside is you wind up with an almost-full bottle of banana schnapps to use up.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Jess, just a room humidifier? Let me go check mine (I'm working a half day due to extreme insomnia last night, and I'm still home but about to head in).

Yes, for a small bedroom. Apparently the one in our room started working again this morning, which is great timing since I've already lost my voice.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

We have a lot of August babies in here. I too am a peridot and I am convinced that is the ugliest birthstone of all 12.

no competition.

I would take any other birthstone besides that one. I would even take the forelorn aquamarine as a birthstone.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

If I wanted to tart up the banana bread with some complementary flavor, what should I use?

Chocolate chips? The Joy recipe I use calls for lemon, which I usually don't add, and no spices, which I usually do (cinnamon, ginger).
