"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, I heard about that, Shir. It's not good.

Steph, most of what you need is probably at the launch pad. It'll take some getting used to, but I think overall it'll be a win.

an overblown libretto and a sumptuous score/ could never contain the contradictions I adore

Oh man, Filene's is closing? I better go stock up on bras.

So I mentioned this on LJ/DW, but I wanted to share here. I met a guy at a vintage store in Baltimore last Saturday, and he asked for my number. (which NEVER HAPPENS.) We went out Thursday and had a really nice time. Then on Sunday, I was at the flea market all day and was texting back and forth with him, and I mentioned that my feet were cold because I'd worn inadequate shoes. Well, about an hour before the market ended he showed up out of the blue with flowers and socks. It was really adorable. We're going out again on Saturday.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Holli, how sweet! Sounds like a lovely guy.

Art Crawl!!!

Awww, Baby's first Warhol:

Sandra Bullock's Baby Gets a Warhol: Actress Sandra Bullock's agents bought Andy Warhol's "Peaches" print at a charity auction for $14,000 last week as a gift for the actress's one-year-old son, Louis. "I want to thank Kevin Huvane and Bryan Lourd for not being cheap fucks and gifting my son with his first Warhol," said Bullock at the event, which raised money for Elizabeth Taylor's AIDS research organization amFar. It’s never too early to start collecting? [Us Weekly]

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That's so sweet, Holli!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Then on Sunday, I was at the flea market all day and was texting back and forth with him, and I mentioned that my feet were cold because I'd worn inadequate shoes.

What is it with you and footwear?

Well, about an hour before the market ended he showed up out of the blue with flowers and socks. It was really adorable. We're going out again on Saturday.

You know, that kind of thoughtfulness is how sj wound up with Teacup Guy. Good job Mr. Flowersocks.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Steph, most of what you need is probably at the launch pad. It'll take some getting used to, but I think overall it'll be a win.

Mostly I'm just reading the e-mails now (in one big daily digest, because I would flip out like a mammal if I had that many individual e-mails in my box), but I like to be able to check the site for some stuff. Objectively, the redesign looks cleaner, but I just hate change.

I mentioned that my feet were cold because I'd worn inadequate shoes. Well, about an hour before the market ended he showed up out of the blue with flowers and socks. It was really adorable. We're going out again on Saturday.

Socks = WIN. The flowers just put it over the top. That's awesome!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Whatevs.

Aw, Holli, adorable.

I've been staring at this for the last fifteen minutes. It's cool, but way too white, for one reason or another.

The Ross near me just moved into the space up the road that the Borders vacated. Oops?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

He sounds sweet, Holli!

What is it with you and footwear?

Holli is the excellent person who let me wear her shoes to walk back to the hotel from dinner at the DC F2F because my shoes were poorly chosen and painful. So I think she has a *great* track record with footwear. But I do have a bias.
