Nora, my droid would not work in the UK so I ended up renting a phone from verizon. Your carrier should be able to let you know. A US charger with an adaptor worked fine though.
Natter 69: Practically names itself.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Did you buy a UK SIM, sj?
ita, no because I was told it wouldn't work on my phone. I wanted to be able to make calls in the UK and to home. So, renting seemed like a good idea. It was $19.95 plus $1 a minute. So, I used it sparingly.
Amazon did add a bunch of streaming content but it's still way behind Netflix.
It's not terribly user friendly to go searching for things. There's no way to search alphabetical within a category and show seasons aren't grouped together.
Happy birthday, Ginger!
I got to spend a good chunk of my morning doing research on a company named ppstream.
Hee. Nice.

Where did you rent it? Over here or over there?
Nora, look at at&t wireless international roaming website before you make any decisions.
You will be fine using an adaptor to charge your cell phone. No neeed to buy another charger over there. Most all current phones use dual-voltage charger these days.
You should turn off data roaming though. International roaming is hella expensive.
Happy birthday, Ginger!
So....I did a LOT of sleeping today. At one point, with Mister Kitty tucked into an armpit, Loki sprawled across my torso and Pumpkin draped over an ankle. I think they like sick days.
Gonna jam some silicon wax crap in my ear and go swimming. Nuts, I know.
Feel better, sara. Don't overdo it. Do you need anything? I'm just leaving the office.
Nah, I'm good (besides, about to walk out the door myself.) I'm just bemused by how much of the day I spent asleep.
