So apparently I get the procrastinatrix award today.
You lose. I never get trick or treaters, but it occurred to me at 5:30 that kids might go further afield since the weather is so nice, so I did an emergency run to the CVS on the corner. There was more Christmas candy available than Halloween, but at least this will not be The House with No Candy. It will still be the house of the dog who protects it from all comers, though.
We have duck tours - they use either duck calls or some kind of noisemaker so you hear loud, artificial "quacks" as they go by.

Oh, good point. I should probably crate the dog this evening...
ION, My Nemesis has done it again. Nearly 2 weeks ago, someone from the field sent her an email asking her for some information, at least half of which was data she wouldn't be able to compile easily (if at all) but which was the sort of thing I could pull together.
She told them she would do it, and then ... didn't. Well, she gave them her data, but not mine, and didn't forward it to me or anything. Just left the guy with only half of what he'd asked for.
So he sent the request again to someone in our Juneau office, who forwarded it to me. I got to tell the guy, "When you have this sort of question, just send it straight to me."
Nemesis is not making herself look good. Why so stupid?
And now I am compiling that data for him. Because I'm helpful like that...
Lots of Duck in Central Wisconsin in the Dells. One of those amphibious craft are serving as a plot point in my friend's Zombie Apocalypse story in @WausauLoner's tweets.
If the duck tours in Dublin are anything like they are here, they're highly irritating to locals and run by tour guides who make shit up.
I have had about 20 kids so far. It's very slow. And I bought way too much candy!
Also, I saw halloween candy package featuring Baby Ruth bars (with Three Musketeers and something else.). We don't get the full sized ones here, so I was tempted to buy, but went with some that were peanut free.
That sounds like a completely fin tour, David! I haven't been to London since 1993, so...
We had no trick or treaters last year so I didn't buy candy this year. Which means we'll probably get slammed. Oh, well.
Jilli, @@.
Cold going into full-on body aches and stupidity. Glad I got some good progress done on work earlier; NSM on the F2F client meeting tomorrow at 9am. He switched it from 11 am to 9 -- ugh. Although I am very glad to have the work; just...cold.
I foresee much hot tea and cold medication, and miserable hunkering down over the laptop tomorrow.
Apparently I am a Very Bad Pagan for getting married on Samhain. Pffft, whatever.
Is Beltane a better season to marry in?
Timelies all!
Happy Birthday Daniel!
Happy Anniversary Jilli and Pete!
Waiting for trick-or-treaters to show up...
