If the duck tours in Dublin are anything like they are here, they're highly irritating to locals and run by tour guides who make shit up.
I have had about 20 kids so far. It's very slow. And I bought way too much candy!
Also, I saw halloween candy package featuring Baby Ruth bars (with Three Musketeers and something else.). We don't get the full sized ones here, so I was tempted to buy, but went with some that were peanut free.
That sounds like a completely fin tour, David! I haven't been to London since 1993, so...
We had no trick or treaters last year so I didn't buy candy this year. Which means we'll probably get slammed. Oh, well.
Jilli, @@.
Cold going into full-on body aches and stupidity. Glad I got some good progress done on work earlier; NSM on the F2F client meeting tomorrow at 9am. He switched it from 11 am to 9 -- ugh. Although I am very glad to have the work; just...cold.
I foresee much hot tea and cold medication, and miserable hunkering down over the laptop tomorrow.
Apparently I am a Very Bad Pagan for getting married on Samhain. Pffft, whatever.
Is Beltane a better season to marry in?
Timelies all!
Happy Birthday Daniel!
Happy Anniversary Jilli and Pete!
Waiting for trick-or-treaters to show up...
Well, techincally, Cashemere, yeah. It's all about fertility, growth and new beginnings. Samhain is technically about the death of the old year and the onset of winter, and ya know, the veils between the living and dead worlds being so thin as to allow wandering.
But it's a perfectly appropo time for Jilli and Pete. I don't think there's any "tainting" going on. After all, getting married on May Day or Midsummer's doesn't guarantee a happy marriage.
Signed,
Former Pagan, Current Pragmatist.

I think in every walk of life, there are people who go about looking for an excuse to be offended/feel superior.
I think that every day of the year would be offensive to someone if you got married that day.
I was buying candy at 5:15 today. I figured I had my best shot at not eating it all if it wasn't here too long.

What's wrong with new beginnings on what's essentially pagan New Year?
