The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Adorable kitties, sarameg!

In other news, this site may have changed my mind about not getting dressed up for Halloween.

call me jacki; zuisa is an internet nick from ancient times =)

Hi!!!!!!!!!!!

That was an incredibly excessive amount of exclamation points, I apologize. I'm just very excited to be on the internet!!

I'm not really sure when I last posted here, but if it was when I was fairly miserable because we work 176284651 hours a day here and I had no time for a life, things are better now. I think it just took me a few weeks to get fully adjusted, and I'm still so busy it's unbelievable, but I'm having a good time now. We're in Kauai, Hawaii, today, and in four days we get to Pago Pago, and then Apia, Moorea, Bora Bora, and Papeete. I'm very excited. I'm NOT excited about the eight sea days it is going to take to get from Papeete to Ensenada, but oh well.

Halloween on the ship tomorrow should be a HUGE extravaganza. I always try to find costumes that can work my red hair into the equation, as I don't love wigs or masks, and so tomorrow I shall be Ginny Weasley. I think it'll be fun!

Hope everything is going well for you all!!

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Hi!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

So apparently the power was out at the Bronx Zoo today. As we found out when we pulled into the parking lot only to find it blocked off by 4 traffic cones and a guy yelling "EVERYTHING'S CLOSED! EVERYTHING'S CLOSED!"

They never did update their website about it, I only found out about the power outage via Twitter. Fortunately the NY Hall of Science is only about a 20 minute drive away, so we did that instead and wound up having a blast.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Hi, zuisa!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Hey, it's Treehouse of Horror tonight on The Simpsons. Apparently this is only the second time since 1999 that they've actually run it before Halloween, as it usually got pushed back by baseball.

Punishingly Intricate

Bounce house was fun!!! But kind of hard work. Especially after a 5 mile hilly hike today. My legs are sore und tired! And I just broke and turned on the heat for the first time. My nose is cold!!! Usually I try to keep it off until Nov 1.

Hi zuisa! That sounds like a very enviable travel plan!

I had a variety of plans for the day (buying various things, cleaning), and abandoned them as being not needed (did do some laundry) and instead stayed home and drank oceans of tea, hoping my incipient cold would go away. I don't think it has. Hrmph.
