Mal: Well, you were right about this being a bad idea. Zoe: Thanks for sayin', sir.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Do you think we can teleport the building out here in time?

Because books.

Hey, my niece just posted that my SiL finished the marathon in 4 hours, 19 minutes, and 14 seconds. And totally beat my brother, the Navy guy, who's still running. Heh.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

electrical safety question: outlet blew in one bathroom (as in sparks, burning smell, scorch marks). I had to reset the circuit. I'm keeping the lights off in that bathroom until I can have an electrician look. The other bathroom is on the same circuit. Should I keep lights off in that bathroom as well?

Now tagless for your comfort.

There was a groupon recently for a bounce house so my friends got it and we are having kid and grown up bouncing later this afternoon!

Bounce houses are always a good time!

Art Crawl!!!

Man, I'm getting odd followers on Twitter lately. Lots of people who are, apparently, involved in the porn industry. Don't know why.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Heh, sumi. I get some random ones, too.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ugh. Franny and I seem to have gotten ourselves a Halloween cold, complete with sore throat and, in her case, a fever. Annoyance. Fever better amscray by tomorrow so she can go trick-or-treating.

Her final decision on the costume? She's dressing up as Ghoulia Yelps from the Monster High dolls. Promise I'll post pictures!

I feel a cold coming on, and am irked--I've been treating with Emergen-C and Traditional Medicinals cold care tea and rest and Ricola for the past two days...and still feel like I"m just starting to get sick. Not sure if "Putting it off" is really the point, if i'm still going to eventually come down with it! Hrmph. OTOH, I did spend the weekend last weekend in a house with someone who went home and found out she had pneumonia, so if it doesn't get that bad, I'll be glad at least.

Load up on some really good hot and sour soup, meara, or else my patented Cold Cure -- saute as much minced garlic as you can stand in butter. Add a tbsp of hot pepper flakes to it for last 15 seconds on sauteeing.

Add to 1 c chicken broth with 1/2 cup lemon juice.

Drink hot and brush teeth; repeat 3x daily. And don't breathe on anyone.

ooh, yes, perhaps I'll go get some pho later...
