Most of the trees here in Somerville are still green, or at least mostly green, so a possible six inches of snow is not going to be so great with regards to downed branches and power outages.
makes mental note not to park under any trees overnight....
A good part of the 10 inches we got on Wednesday has already melted. Already tired of dodging the drops off awnings.
Am babysitting the dojo kids again today. By myself cause K-Bug is working today. Should be an adventure. I foresee lots of Disney movies and coloring ahead.
Every morning I get to see what Owen was up to on the computer. This morning I found open tabs to Youtube and some Gumby video. The other open tab was Wikipedia. Owen looked up Art Clokey.
I swear that boy could home school himself.
The rain is starting to change to snow here.
This snow thing ain't right.
Snow is most often wrong. October snow is an abomination.
October snow mucks up Halloween.
The cats are fascinated, though. The snowflakes are so giant. Cortez is in front of the window, completely baffled and curious.
So, the other night *I* made grilled cheese & tomato soup for dinner, and burned the grilled cheese (this is why Tim makes the grilled cheese instead of me, but he was disassembling the drill press that night).
The smoke detector didn't go off that night, so I just asked Tim to test it. He reached into the depths of the credenza and pulled out an incense stick (a heretofore unknown incense stick; color me unsurprised). He lit it and stood under the smoke detector and waved it. The alarm went off immediately.
"Well," I said, "we know no hippies will break in."
