Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Also: I AM NOT A COWGIRL.

Whatever, whoever you are.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I thought, "They're going to have to bungee-cord a baby gate over that crib."

We used to put a net over my little brother's crib. Didn't do much good--he would still get out, go downstairs & out the door, and be found wandering in his diapers in the neighborhood. Woops.

I've seriously considered adding a ball and chain to the Spare Cat's collar, in the hopes it would slow her down and her to stop prancing on top of the bookshelves.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So I'm watching this Frontline from a couple of weeks ago about the anthrax thing, and they keep talking about "Management" wrt to what the FBI was doing. It just makes me think about that guy on Burn Notice! Heh.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Happy birthday aurelia!

Gud, please boast away. You have two wonderful children. It's always fun hearing about them.

Happy birthday, aurelia!

Kat, I loved the poem you posted last night. Never heard of Edward Field before.

Way to go Amy, and Gud's awesome kids!

There's no cure for AIDS, but I know people diagnosed 20 years ago.

True, a couple of my closest friends are HIV+, and you wouldn't know it unless they told you. And they're in serodiscordant LTRs, too. And they're my age, and I plan to grow old with them.

My uncle was diagnosed HIV+ at least 20 years ago, maybe more? And I'll be seeing him in a few weeks at my cousin's wedding.

Aaaah, and I meant to say: Maria, I'm thinking of you & your DH today. All the ~ma you can handle headed your way.

Librarian Warlord

Lots of ~ma for Maria & DH.

My DH just called from Sri Lanka and all he wanted to talk about the World Series (exaggeration, but it was his first choice of topic).

Happy Birthday, aurelia!

My brother will be having his first meeting with his oncologist this Afternoon as well. So wel will find out what kind of cancer, what stage, what treatments, what prognosis.

The only funny thing about it is that it's his tonsil that had the tumor. Unfortunately, they're tied in to the lymph system, so it's actually very VERY unfunny.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Check this shit out, y'all:

What I saw when I looked out our back door BEFORE last night: [link] t edit All those fucking shingles in the driveway were from when the house next door was re-shingled, and the workmen thought they could just throw all the old shingles in OUR driveway. Uncool. (And that's the actual reason I took the picture -- to have proof in case the owner gave us pushback [he didn't, though].)

What I saw when I looked out the backyard TODAY: [link]

Daaaaaaaang.
