Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

msbelle, I am so sorry you have to deal with this. I hope you find something perfect for your situation and headspace right now.

Have you also thought about Starbucks? I know they offer health insurance to part-time partners working at least 20 hours a week. My best friend from college and her husband work for them now and rave about the company benefits. (They started off as baristas in college, moved up to managers, then district managers, and finally work at HQ in Seattle.)

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

well a Starbucks doesn't allow me as much leeway wrt direct constant contact with the public. I am pretty sure no-one wants that.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Good luck, msbelle. I hope you can get out of that situation ASAP.

They do not review my work, even if I provide it early and then are furious if they find errors when they are on a job site. I literally had to say today that I would not be able to guarantee never making a mistake.

That's just incredibly stressful. Everyone makes mistakes.

I'm sorry. I didn't realize that you were trying to minimize public contact. I'll step off.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

There's a new Hyperbole and a Half. Except it's not funny, and I'm trying hard to no cry at work right now.

Tom, I'd hug you if I could (and you'd accept). You are so much more than you give yourself credit for.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I feel like touching a spider.
