My two closest friends really STRONGLY warned me away from the DH when we first started dating as he had so many "red flags." Six years younger than me, recently separated but not yet divorced, heavy smoker, and deep in debt due to aforementioned separation. But we just had so much fun together and I could tell that he was, at heart, a truly good, stable, honest and true person, so I ignored them. Lucky me!
Natter 69: Practically names itself.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
CJ is handing out goodies from the dojo at tomorrow's trick or treat street. He gets to dress up as a....ninja.
So freaking tired. I felt like I slept well last night, but right now...could take a good nap.
Is Facebook being wonky for other people?
Apparently, here there are different Trick or Treating nights scheduled for different neighborhoods. One assumes to maximize candy collection. I call foul.
Has anyone cooked spigarello greens before? If so, do you have a recipe you want to share?
I lost track of Natter yesterday while I was getting a cavity filled (woo!) but this pretty much sums it up for me:
In other words: Suck it up and be The Village.
Also, yay tommyrot! I'm happy to hear that you are officially someone's bf!
I've never even heard of them.
Sox, I'm sorry about your DH's grandmother. I'm glad it was peaceful, though.
After a quick google, Perkins, it looks like you can cook spigarello like any other kind of greens. I'd never heard of it before.
Yep--that's what my Google found too--I was just wondering if anyone had a recipe they had tried before and would recommend. This is part of my attempt to be more adventurous with the CSA picks.

Around here, each county has a different trick-or-treat night, with official times. My county at least has it scheduled on actual Halloween. I don't understand the point of rescheduling it to a different day, especially when most of them are just moving it from one weekday to a different weekday.
This is an incredibly frustrating lottery ticket.
We just had the benefits 2012 con call. Basically the same as 2011, except more expensive. I expect that last part is mainly my fault. Oops. But I better pay careful attention to the short and long term disability options this time round, just in case. If I let my employer's contributions to my LTD (100%) be taxable, then my actual LTD will be untaxable--that sounds like a decent gamble, right?
Man, there's so much to consider, and it's all gambling.
