We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

And oh yes! So glad Reece is home.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I figured afterbirth would outweigh the baby, but almost 5x as much still seems jaw-dropping.

Aww! You're fine, Kate. I know that type of thing sucks, but you're pregnant! Don't worry too much about it.

What Liese said. And hey! If you can and choose to breast feed, you may soon find yourself skinnier than you've been in decades.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

A friend lost 40 pounds in the delivery room. Only 7 of those were baby.

Good lord.

The most consistent exercise I ever did was while I was on maternity leave!

Ha, good to know! Of course, it's going to be hot as Hades here soon after Sprog arrives, so perhaps I will just plan to sweat off most of the excess weight. I'm also hoping that breastfeeding will help, if that goes well. Totally reason enough to have a big ol' cookie this afternoon, right?

edit: breastfeeding xpost!

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

There can be a *lot* of fluid in there. When you see a pregnant woman whose belly is a nigh-perfect sphere, it's an almost sure bet that the baby is swimming in a veritable ocean of amniotic fluid.

Now tagless for your comfort.

We won't mention meconium then.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I know that pregnant women can retain water - swollen legs, etc. I once worked with a woman who did - she was miserable, and swollen. Also went to 10 months. A week after giving birth, she'd lost all the water weight and was close to her pre-pregnancy size.

So ... good news/bad news.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I am so happy I have never been pregnant. I think it would only be worth it if I gave birth to a baby sloth. And perhaps not even then.

you know how people who love to hear the sound of their voice, explain things in the most convoluted way and do it loudly? Yeah, that.

My work to do list is back and front of my notepad and half those things I need an answer from someone else on. Every task I start on hits a wall.
