"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

No, you're awesome, Tom!

ION, Jacqueline was trying to find some soap actress from her youth who had a sassy bob and sleuthed out it was Renee Props on As the World Turns in the late 80s and early 90s.

I almost hesitate to point this out because I know there are soap fans here who might get sucked down the rabbit hole, but I checked to see if Renee Props was on YouTube and somebody has loaded 700 videos from their personal video collection.

So if you wanted to watch As the World Turns from 1989 - here you go.

hip deep in pie

I have finally seen the ad for The Hopper. On Fox, the one US channel that doesn't come from Boston, but from Rochester.

404 error?

I just looked up a guy I went to high school with, and not only he is a writer/producer of Law and Order SVU, it appears from his Facebook profile picture that he may have triplets. Also, he has such a funny name (Sp33d W33d) that people apparently routinely Google him wondering if his name is real (it is, sort of - he's officially William Henry but picked up the nickname in Kindergarten and was exclusively known by it from then on).

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Returned to karate for the first time post-surgery. Only did a half hour with my training partner. I've lost whatever stamina I had and will have to work hard to get that back. I'm happy that my muscle memory is pretty solid on the majority of the stuff we worked on. Only my newest stuff was rusty. All told, I'll take it as a win.

It is still snowing out there.

Punishingly Intricate

Happy birthday, Tom!!!

Glad the Texas folks are safe. Scary stuff!!

Man, I had a shockingly positive phone call with my health insurance company today. I had been dreading making it all day. I wasn't even on hold at all! I'm so surprised it went well that I am suspicious that they were lying to me.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What's that jumpy leg syndrome called, and how do you make it stop? I totally have it these days.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I saw the Hopper commercial when I was in PA this weekend. I have no idea if people there are even going to recognize it as English.
