Returned to karate for the first time post-surgery. Only did a half hour with my training partner. I've lost whatever stamina I had and will have to work hard to get that back. I'm happy that my muscle memory is pretty solid on the majority of the stuff we worked on. Only my newest stuff was rusty. All told, I'll take it as a win.
It is still snowing out there.

Man, I had a shockingly positive phone call with my health insurance company today. I had been dreading making it all day. I wasn't even on hold at all! I'm so surprised it went well that I am suspicious that they were lying to me.
What's that jumpy leg syndrome called, and how do you make it stop? I totally have it these days.
I saw the Hopper commercial when I was in PA this weekend. I have no idea if people there are even going to recognize it as English.

Restless Legs Syndrome. AFAIK, which may not be very far, magnesium makes it stop.
Hec and other hairstyle people, I need your expertise! You've seen the V8 commercials with Jackie Chan? The one with the woman walking down the street, and Jackie does a move with a random baby stroller? I think I want her haircut. What do I tell a stylist to get that cut?

I will attest to the magnesium thing. As it turns out, my long bout of feeling really crappy may have been tied in part to a magnesium deficiency.
In other news (which I've already announced over on LJ), I got the promotion I've been hoping for, and a lot sooner than I had expected! The whole thing still doesn't seem quite real, but it probably will in a few more weeks when I have to start studying for my securities licence.

My choir rehersal was SO GOOD. I say this every holiday, but I have reall got to get into a regular choir. And I don't think it will be that one.
