Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That's a pretty nice Saturday morning. I still like my rolling out of bed and into the cinema one better, but there's no reason not to mix things up, especially if some mixes have bottomless mimosas. Outside of all-inclusives and explicitly open bars, I don't remember having encountered any of those. But it's been a few months since I've been to brunch in the US...which would mean it's been months since I've been to brunch, wouldn't it?

Jude Law (but hotter)

Which Jude? And, good god, that reminds me how way behind I am on stuff.

That's LMGTFY!

Try having my headache for this long and see how many letters you put in. It's a miracle they're not just all in alphabetical order.

Google, you're officially too clever for me. I was just trying to find out where this came from, because I'd seen it as an avatar on a tumblr site, and I thought it was a picture of the poster.

Ah, nope. Wrong gender. And then I see it somewhere else, and figure I've missed out on a meme or something. So I do their reverse image search, and the first hit is this.

No! That's not what I meant! That's too clever by half. Just give me the image's source, for crying out loud.

Shit, I really really should do groceries, motherfucker. Man, I don't wanna wear outside pants, though.

Librarian Warlord

Outside pants are overrated.

My DH has been in Oxford this week, and has the weekend off. I am home with our adorable, but extremely bossy toddler who got up this morning at 5:30 a.m. I also have a sinus infection that is keeping me up at night. I took her to the little music class this morning (that her father usually takes her to, so I can get some me time) and made a joke that if the DH called me tonight and told me he spent the day wandering through bookstores, I might change the locks.

He called to tell me he had a really nice day, there is a literature thing going on in Oxford and he'd just come back from some sort of thing with Derek Landy and got to hear him talk about Skullduggery Pleasant.

At least he knew that he was in big trouble.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I'm reminded of the moment in a Bill Cosby routine where he describes his wife's face splitting open and shooting lasers from her eyes.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OMG Sparky. Out-of-town parents of toddlers should not be allowed to report that kind of thing.

Skirts require tights. Way more complicated. Went with pants.

Driving was not a good idea, but no harm, no foul.

Have extra food.

And, man, talking about co-workers commenting on your food, or checkout staff making conversation, why is random supermarket woman talking to me about bread that's not even for sale at that store, and how we should live a little. Beeyotch, I'm leaving here with two sorts of bread, and I haven't yet finished the one at home. If that's living, I do it a lot.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

This is from the LA Times, so you know not peer reviewed or anything. But one estimate of the cost to end world hunger permanently is 300 billion in total investment, spread over ten years so as to make the investments at a sustainable rate that could be absorbed by the economies where the poorest of people live. Probably could be done faster at a higher cost.

While 300 times the size of the investment foaf suggested, that is still surprisingly small compared to the size of the total world economy. [link]

Guess who had fresh local asparagus for dinner tonight? YUM. The skinny kind because the fatter stuff won't be good until later. And I still have another bunch.

House is clean. Also tackled the disaster that was my coffee table: threw everything into a box. Relocated a couple of nice basket/dish things to the table. Took item out of box. Found a home for it (mostly not ON the table.)

We'll see how well I can maintain this.
