Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Sorry for my little freak-out. It's been a freak-out-generating kind of day. The heat pump was just the safest thing to vent it on.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Brazil is the funniest movie I ever saw that left me depressed for days afterwords. (And yes, that is totally a favorable review.)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Hey, Ginger, I have a burning question (not literally) about fluorescent bulbs that I bet you know the answer to if you don't mind me pestering you a bit.

That was not what I was expecting.

So did I mention I applied for a different job here? I did--it's the senior spot filled by the coworker who retired recently. Anyway, I applied at kind of the last minute, and what do you know?

I didn't make the short list. Because I'm neither a current federal employee nor a veteran. ::head-desk::

However at least one of my more-competent coworkers did (as he is a current federal employee), so possibly they'll end up hiring someone who actually can do the job in a useful way. I can hope, anyway...
