I'm on a train to NYC with HPF*. Plan is Empire State bldg > NYPL > American Girl Doll Store > Met > Central Park > magic store > home. Yah. If we make it out of American Girl, I'ma call this a win. *Kate, the doll, currently has the window seat.
Yeah, maybe I'm easily overwhelmed, but I wouldn't bother putting the Met in a chock-full itinerary like that. Have fun!
If we make it, it'll be for lunch and a quick peek at the dragon-armor (in case of Smaug). We have a reciprocal membership, so it's free. MOMA is close, but lacks swords and reciprocity.

I'm too angry to think rationally despite the sleep. I woke up thinking I should get on a plane. I'll have to miss a day I was going to spend with my niece and nephew, and that will suck. But I can't really look at my parents without feeling rage.
I'm so sorry that your parents chose to behave this way, Allyson. I hope that whatever happens this morning, it leads to a good day.
