Ah, the pitter patter of tiny feet in huge combat boots. Shut up!

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I'm too angry to think rationally despite the sleep. I woke up thinking I should get on a plane. I'll have to miss a day I was going to spend with my niece and nephew, and that will suck. But I can't really look at my parents without feeling rage.

I'm so sorry that your parents chose to behave this way, Allyson. I hope that whatever happens this morning, it leads to a good day.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Now mom is crying. So much for slipping out. Fuck.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Now mom is crying. So much for slipping out. Fuck.

Don't let her guilt you, Allyson. If leaving early will save your sanity, so be it. Mayhap your mom will tell your dad to keep the student loan payments to himself next visit.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It shouldn't be your responsibility to keep your family cheerful at the cost of your own peace of mind, Allyson, even though it would be simpler to just apparate your ass out of there. Consider that your mother is crying because you're upset, and you're upset because of what your family did. You're not being upset in order to make them mad.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Sanity above all else, Allyson. Is there any way you can visit niece and nephew without the parentals?

Happy Birthday to Noah and Grace!

The fire is still burning but it isn't as windy today, so they will have more tools to get it under control. A few houses have been destroyed and there are rumors that one resident has died. The skies are much clearer where I live. I've heard from the friends I know who live in that area and they are ok. Not sure if they are in today's evacuation zone or not.
