Lorne: Snakes? Uh-huh. And they came out of your what? Okay. Okay, well, did they get up there themselves or is this part of a, you know, a thing? No, I'm not judging...Do we fight snakes? Angel: Only if they're giant. Or demons. Or giant demons. Are they giant demon snakes? Lorne: Well, unless this guy's 30 feet tall, I'm thinking they're of the garden variety.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I can't put cupcakes in my canning jars. I am putting pear butter in my canning jars.

But you're not putting cakes in all your canning jars, so you still can.

I forgot to say -

Happy Birthday, Kathy and Raq!!

One of my best buds from Baltimore has his birthday today, too. Aw.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I don't know how you people can drive and use arm rests at the same time.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

What else are you doing with that arm?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I drive with my right arm at 12 and my left hanging out the window, most of the time. I think the last time I did the crossover thing when turning was my driving test.

Controlling the steering wheel. I don't think I could do it without the whole length of my arm being involved.

Eta: I can't knit or crochet while using armrests, either. My elbows gotta be free to flop around.

brillig

I use the cross-over turn when I'm turning fast and hard--which sounds much more interesting than it is.

Because books.

But once again, I love how my optimism at the beginning of a canning process gradually descends into chaos and cursing by the end of it, wherein I stare sadly at one, maybe two, jars of overprocessed, inedible, sugar laden goop.

Aw, Liese! Also, now I want to read that chapter of Little Women with Meg's day of canning.

Both arms?

I drive with my right arm at 12 and my left hanging out the window, most of the time.

I tend to drive with my left arm more often than just my right, maybe because my window is usually up. Dangling out the window isn't really an 85mph option, and a big chunk of my daily driving is (optimally) that, even if it was warm enough.
