If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Benadryl does nothing for me.

A coworker told me yesterday that he is allergic to aspirin and ibuprofen. Horrifying. I can't even.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Bodies, man, weird and all unique.

Compazine is the one that gave me crawl out of my skin-itis. It was uncomfortable.

Benadryl is awesome and makes me sleepy.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

a thing called defensive pessimism, where people figure out the worst-case scenario, but then make plans to avoid it or deal with it, but it sounds like the kind of thing that's only natural to a certain group of people, and probably hardly any of the other people learn how to do it.

Hey, they're describing Pete!

Mom was allergic to Benadryl. It took a while for her doctors to figure that out. For me, Benadryl makes everything stop itching, knocks me unconscious, and makes it hard to think the next day, which has made dealing with the stress-induced eczema oodles of fun, let me tell you.

ION, which of you evil people mentioned the TJ's pub cheese? I'm trying to convince myself that the tub is not a single serving.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

A big dose of Benadryl would probably put me into a coma, I'd be SO unconscious -- can barely keep my eyes open with an OTC dose. I don't suppose it would matter then if my skin was crawly.

Good luck with that. I open that stuff, I assume it's a meal.

Pub cheese, not benadryl.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Compazine is the one that gave me crawl out of my skin-itis.

I had a nurse call it something like "crazy legs". Not all of them know about this possible side effect, so I have to monitor the order and pacing with which they give it to me in combination with the benadryl. But without it, the very specifically strange side effect is the need to flee.

Oddly, when I got home, I'd be okay. I'd just REALLY have to leave the hospital as soon as it kicked in.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

What a day. K-Bug's bf drove up from NM and arrived around 1:30am. The whole household woke up at 6:00am to get up and set out to be at the karate tournament at 7:00am. K-Bug was chief baby wrangler for the dojo kids. The baby was great, but the 3 year old didn't appreciate being on a short (proverbial) leash. I only competed in one event, sparring, and lost in the first round. I did lose to the gal who ended up winning our division, so I'm not too upset. CJ had a great tournament, second in sparring, second in forms and first in weapons. I, alas, have no pictures from the day. Last event was finished around 5pm. I took the gang out to Red Robin and now we are home watching the World Series.

So. Freakin. Tired.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Good luck with that. I open that stuff, I assume it's a meal.

Ditto. And my cousin just convinced me that the spinach-artichoke dip is actually a reasonable meal! So now I'll buy that.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

ita,

there are accupressure wrist bands that are supposed to help with nausea. They helped me with car sickness and air sickness. I think there are those with electric pulses. I thought there was some medical evidence they are supposed to help and not random hoo-ha, but there might be others who chime in here.
