This: [link] made me cry. This is why I should be working from home, dammit. The internet feels.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Yay sarameg!! I can make more recommendations after Saturday, when i get home.
But it's awesome.
That made me cry too, ita. Thanks!
Group hug!
Oh, geez, ita. Yeah crying. (relatedly, this week is the 2 yr anniversary of Bob getting his tumor removed and this morning he got another all clear report from his oncologist and he doesn't need to go back for 6 whole months!!)
Will have to check that site later, I have students waiting outside. oy!
Why is my head full of cotton wool?
Consuela, if you have a chance, the Thyssen-Bornemizsa (sp?) is only a couple blocks IIRC from the Prado--and is pretty awesome, if you're less into Madonna-and-Child and more into anything modernish (past 150 years?)

Wow, this is a fascinating "Black men in hoodies" thread: [link]
Some amazing "tone argument" and derailing going on. I don't know if I have the strength to read it all, but some of the sensible comments are really rather sensible.
I am extra, uber creeped out by the discussion, because for a large segment of Supernatural fandom, the hoodie is a sign of woobieness. You say "hoodie" to a Dean!girl, and she's thinking of this.
It makes me sick, the flip side, the people arguing that all black guys have to do is stop wearing hoodies and then people will stop killing them. You know how guns don't kill people? Wearing hoodies doesn't kill people either.

What is wrong with people that you even have to say that?
