Every nightmare I have that doesn't revolve around academic failure or public nudity is about that thing. In fact, once I dreamt that it attacked me while I was late for a test and naked.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Unfortunately the used CD store in town closed, so I can't get any cheap copies of her CDs.

KATE. Whoa. Really? Wow. Is it a matter of pride at this point, or are you just afraid of the hype?

Heh. Neither? I just haven't sought it out, and like Jess, the only radio stations I listen to are NPR and classic rock. It's possible I've heard it when I was out somewhere, but didn't know it.

I liked "Chasing Pavements" from her first album a lot, but when I listened to the rest of the CD it didn't grab me, so I wasn't particularly interested in seeking out her new one. But I'm happy to give "Rolling in the Deep" a listen, since you've linked the video.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I only keep up with Kids Today music on Youtube.

Pretty much all the new music I discover these days is through fanvids. They've introduced me to some good older stuff, too

ARGH, the video starts out with that goddamn "Marry Bacon" commercial from Jack in the Box. I fucking hate that commercial. It plays all the time when I watch Parks & Rec on Hulu and every time I want to throw something.

OK, but now that I've watched the actual video, I like the song! Seems like an odd choice to have her sitting down for the whole song, though -- it's the kind of song that you'd think would require standing up and dancing around while you're belting it out.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I don't know if I've ever heard "Rolling in the Deep." The only radio stations I ever listen to are classic rock or NPR, so if I've heard it it was probably at the grocery store or something. I only recognize "Someone Like You" because of that SNL sketch.

I never listen to the radio for music anymore. I listen to NPR sometimes, alternative online radio or stuff in my iPod/iPhone.

So I've never heard of Adele as well.

Hee! One of the more fun supplements to a class I had was all about marginalia in medieival texts, taught by a bone-dry funny professor.
